Magitteri/Hotarek teamed up in 2006 on a suggestion of a coach. Hotarek is originally from the Czech Republic but moved to Italy to skate with Magitteri, who was a single skater until then. Magitteri's idol in skating are Jamie Sale/Davin Pelletier (CAN), while Hotarek admires Ekaterina Gordeeva/ Sergei Grinkov and Elena Berezhnaya/Anton Sikhuralidze (RUS).
