Weaver/Poje teamed up in Augst 2006. She moved from Texas, USA to skate with him and they found immediate success by taking the bronze medal at the Canadian National Championships (senior level) and the bronze medal at the 2007 World Junior Championships. The couple switched coaches in January 2008. Coach Shae-Lynn Bourne is the 2003 Ice Dancing World Champion (with Victor Kraatz).
