Volosozhar/Morozov teamed up in 2004. Morozov is the 2000 World Junior Paris Champion (with Aliona Savchenko). He retired from skating in 2002 after battling reocurring injuries but came back to compete with Volosozhar. He was born in Russia but moved to the Ukraine as an infant as his father was working as a skating coach there. He broke his ankle in November 2005 in a practice accident, but recovered in time for the Olympic Winter Games.
