Evora/Ladwig teamed up in 2002. Evora began skating because her dad found her sister's old skates and they fit. Ladwig began skating because there was a pond in a park behind his home. He tried many sports such as wrestling, diving, American football, track and field before focusing on skating. He is working at various jobs as a waiter, zamboni driver, music technician, skate sharpener to finance his skating. Ladwig is married to Janet, an interior designer, since August 2006.
