Brezina started skating after the 1998 Olympic Games, because he wanted to play ice hockey. His father told him that he needs to learn how to skate first, Brezina took lessons and stayed in figure skating. Skaters he looks up to are Jozef Sabovcik and Jeffrey Buttle. Brezina missed the JGP Final and National Championships in December 2008 due to an injury to his right knee. He underwent surgery end of October and was back on to the ice end of November.
